This conversation is dedicated to the mental health of young actors who are at the beginning of their professional and artistic journey. Theatre academies can be places of great creative growth and inspiration, but also of intense stress and pressure. For this reason, it is important to discuss how these institutions can become safe and supportive environments.
How can students cope with stress? Who can they turn to for support—fellow students, assistants, professors, or someone else? Can we contribute to improving the system ourselves? The discussion will also address ways of dealing with stress, expectations, and the emotional demands present both at academies and in the professional field.
We will open a broader conversation about the mental health of actors and the specific nature of a profession that requires deep personal and emotional investment. The aim of this meeting is to encourage open dialogue and to raise awareness about the importance of caring for mental health within artistic creation.
