Izvođačka tijela muškarca i žene ispisuju intimnu priču Espija Tomičića, autora drame „Your love Is King“ prema kojoj je rad nastao. Priča je to o odnosima majke i sina, brata i sestre, mame i tate i mladića i djevojke. Kratko uprizorenje je tjelesno čitanje intimne analize bolnih sjećanja kojima se bavi ovaj dramski tekst. Tijelo kao kao spremnik pamćenja kompleksnih odnosa, a dva tijela kao podsjetnik na Muško i Žensko koje se svađa, miri, bori i supostoji: vape za zagrljajem a primaju životne udarce.

The performing bodies of the man and woman tell the intimate story of Espi Tomičić, the author of the play Your Love Is King, from which this piece is based. It is a story about the relationships between mother and son, brother and sister, mom and dad, and young man and woman. The brief performance is a physical reading of the intimate analysis of painful memories addressed in this dramatic text. The body serves as a container of the memory of complex relationships, and the two bodies as a reminder of the Male and Female, who argue, reconcile, fight, and coexist: they long for an embrace but also endure life’s blows.
The work was created at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek as part of the PuNKt Festival program in 2024, under the mentorship of Selma Sauerborn.
