ČSAK polaznicima pruža osnovni uvid u teorijske perspektive vizualne antropologije, s naglaskom na različite metode angažiranog dokumentiranja kulture korištenjem registracijskih tehnologija – kamera i snimača zvuka. Posebna pozornost bit će posvećena tehnikama snimanja, kadriranju i radu s kazivačima kroz etnografske intervjue.
U Društvenom centru KROV u Beogradu organizira znanstvene edukacije i projekte s ciljem razvoja angažiranog etnografskog filma.
ČSAK provides participants with a basic insight into the theoretical perspectives of visual anthropology, focusing on various methods of engaged cultural documentation using recording technologies – cameras and sound recorders. After a brief theoretical introduction, participants will focus on practical work with the camera, learning how to use it as a tool for field exploration in the observational style of “fly on the wall,” cinema verité, autoethnographic, and sensory methods in ethnographic film. Special attention will be given to filming techniques, framing, and working with informants through ethnographic interviews. Participants, in groups, will have the opportunity to film fragments of a joint film.
The workshop will be led by Relja Pekić Carić, Master of Ethnology and Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. He is a co-founder of the School of Visual Anthropology (ŠVA) in Belgrade, which still exists today. He is also the founder and selector of the engaged ethnographic film festival, Vizantrop, in Serbia since 2018, and, a year later, together with colleagues who are filmmakers and theater directors, he launches the International School of Visual Anthropology within the VAC – Center for Visual Anthropology in Belgrade. At the KROV Social Center in Belgrade, he organizes scientific education and projects aimed at developing engaged ethnographic film.
